Teacher Appreciation Night at Ikea

I got a response back from Kitalena, who is in charge of PR for the Ikea West Chester store. She said that she is going to put out a press release tomorrow, so Saving Sherry readers are the first to know! Here's what Kitalena told me:

IKEA WEST CHESTER'S TEACHER APPRECIATION NIGHT

WHO: All teachers invited (even coworkers who are teachers)

WHAT: Teachers are invited to a night of free food and prize drawings and get to know our products that can help them in the classroom

WHEN: THURSDAY MAY 7, 6-8pm

WHERE: back of the Restaurant (aka "Teacher's Lounge")

This is an event exclusive to IKEA West Chester. We have some of the largest school districts in our area and a lot of teachers who deserve to be recognized for teaching all those students. So that's why we did this event in conjunction with National Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers can come to our store and to the back of our restaurant we're dubbing the"Teacher's Lounge". There teachers can get some free food, register to win prizes that will be drawn every 15 minutes (until 8pm), and get a free gift.

Homeschooling teachers are included in this event. Some of the prizes to be given out include: gift cards, MALA easels, storage boxes, a TROFAST storage system and other suprises! This totally makes me jealous of all those teachers. . . hopefully they are still doing this when I go back to the classroom!

If I find anything else out I'll let you know! Check out my original post here.

Happy Savings!
