My friend Carrie just sent me this link from John Matarese's Don't Waste Your Money on WCPO's site. If you live in the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana Tri-State area it appears you are in luck! Wal-Mart slashed prices on Milk, Eggs, Bananas, Apples and Lettuce so Kroger followed suit! Prices at Kroger are as follows:
- Milk $2.45/gallon
- Eggs $.88/dozen
- Iceberg Lettuce $.88/head
- Bananas $.48/lb
- some apples $.99/lb
- other produce are on sale at two-fer prices (1/2 price)
Looks like I'll be making a few trips to Wal-Mart or Kroger to stock up!
